Beyond The Red Line

Beyond the Red Line - I'm not sure exactly how I came across it. I must have read about it or over heard a conversation somewhere. All I know for sure is I downloaded the demo a while ago and finally got around to installing it. Beyond the Red Line is a full conversion of the PC space sim Freespace 2, based in the universe of the sci-fi TV show Battlestar Galactica. It is fully standalone, so there is no need to search Ebay looking for a copy. Running on top of an engine released in 1999 is not noticeable thanks to The Freespace 2 Source Code Project's work on the code base. I really need to get the wireless adpter so I can use my 360 controller on the PC. Controlling the ship with the keyboard is just not quite good enough. Hopefully, we will get a proper full release soon, which I'll try to follow with a proper review. I've played the game for a little while and it actually convinced me to go back and watch the Battlestar Galactica mini-series - I'm up to episode four of the first season...
